By using FollowerMap or responding to a poll, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy.

We collect minimal information to provide our mapping service:

• Creator Information:

  • Optional profile information (e.g., username, social media handles)
  • Poll creation and management data
• Follower Information:
  • Anonymized city/region data derived from IP geolocation
  • Optional demographic responses (e.g., age, gender) provided in polls
  • Response timestamps

  • Platform interactions (e.g., pages viewed, poll creation)

We do not collect or store raw IP addresses or precise location data. All follower data is anonymized to protect privacy.

To ensure one response per follower per poll and maintain data integrity, we use a secure deduplication process:

• When a follower submits a poll response, we generate a temporary, anonymized identifier based on their connection, using a secure, poll-specific code (salt).
• This identifier is stored only for the duration of the poll (e.g., 7 days) and is deleted afterward, ensuring no personal data is retained.
• We never store raw IP addresses or link responses to individual identities.
• After the poll ends, we aggregate responses into anonymized city/region counts and demographic summaries (e.g., "New York: 50 responses, 60% female"), which are stored for creators' maps.

This process complies with GDPR and CCPA, prioritizing your followers' privacy while delivering accurate insights.

We use the collected information to:

• Enable creators to create polls and map follower locations
• Generate anonymized geographic and demographic insights
• Prevent duplicate responses for accurate data
• Notify creators about poll results and platform updates
• Provide customer support
• Monitor platform usage and improve features
• Detect and address technical issues

We may share information in limited cases:

• With Service Providers: For analytics, payment processing, or customer support, under strict confidentiality agreements.
• Aggregated Data: Anonymized poll results (e.g., city/region counts) may be shared publicly or with creators.
• For Business Transfers: In case of a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, with notice to users.
• Legal Requirements: To comply with legal obligations or respond to valid requests, while protecting user rights.
• With Consent: For any other purpose, with your explicit permission.

We do not sell personal data or share follower responses in identifiable form.
